Welcome to Oyster Dock Workshop

The Oyster Dock Workshop is a small business serving the Upper Valley for 35 years. We specialize in:

• Antique restoration
• Furniture refinishing & repair
• Custom furniture design & building
• Seat weaving (including caning, splint and rush)
• Wooden boat repair & restoration

The Oyster Dock is named after its original location in Milford Harbor in Milford, Connecticut where oysters were once processed. The space was repurposed in 1975 and became a woodworking shop with three partners. After several locations in Milford we relocated the shop to Thetford Center, Vermont and then in 1981 to its current location on Route 5 in Norwich, Vermont.

The Oyster Dock preserves the craft of woodworking skills that have been practiced and refined over four generations. For examples of past jobs and projects please view the gallery section of the website.
